This week I've heard St Thomas referred to as Never Neverland on multiple occasions - how appropriate!!! In one way or another we are all on a permanent vacation here on island and this is something I plan on taking full advantage of in the next week while I have a friend visiting. I'm looking forward to showing my friend all that the island has to offer and remembering why I love living on St Thomas. What is the one thing you always do when friends come to visit?

How was your weekend?
Mine just sort of unraveled it's self into wonderfulness - nothing was really planned and everything was perfect.
I had a great weekend full of friends, laughter, sunshine, a bonfire, and a boat ride to Jost Van Dyke to drink painkillers at the Soggy Dollar. I had a blast, thank you friends for making it happen!!!

Do you have any old friends that you miss? I have done a good amount of moving in the last 10 years and have lost contact with a lot wonderful people. I just reconnected with one of my favorite friends that I haven't spoken with in years and she's coming to visit me this winter. Yay!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!! She's in the photo above - doesn't she just scream fun?

I recently became very homesick and just had to go up North to spend some time with my family and friends in Sumner Maine. It’s been almost 15 years since I lived in Sumner and I’ve never truly missed living there but there is something so special about my little home town. The one thing I've always missed most about home are my family and friends that live there. I try to go back at least once a year to see everyone. Here are a few photos of some of the best people in the world that I've known since day one, I love you guys!

Do you have any weekend plans?
This weekend on St John is the 8th Annual Beach-to-Beach Power Swim. Sounds like a lot of fun, anyone going to do this? I wish I could but I'm working all weekend photographing weddings. I had my weekend last Wednesday, just part of the charms of working for myself {smile.}
