Do you have wanderlust?
I keep thinking it's one of those things I'll grow out of. I've had this itchy, anxious need to get-up and get going for as long as I can remember. When I was young I thought it was just a need to move away from my home state (Maine) and live in a new place.
In my 20’s I was living in Manhattan and I still had this feeling and thought being an international flight attendant would quench my wanderlust. I found that traveling around the world, literally, only fueled my desirers. I now live on a small island in the middle of the Caribbean; people say “I’m living the life in paradise.” Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy, but I still have that itchy need to get on a plane and experience a new part of the world I had never imagined.
Maybe wanderlust is part of who I am? Um…do you have any recommendations on must see places in the world?
I think wanderlust is just a part of you from how you described yourself. That's not a bad thing...maybe a little expensive and not good if you end up having lots of children, but it's definitely do-able. I think you'll be able to see more of the world because you want to see it.
ReplyDeleteI really haven't traveled much myself other than to the Southern parts of the U.S. so I'm definitely not well-versed in international destinations. Where is it that you want to go? :)
I can totally relate! I have serious case of wanderlust~ it drives my husband crazy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy :) it might be easier for me to make a list of where I don't want to go, hahahaahhaaa....I still haven't been to most of the obvious places, Paris, any where in Italy, Croatia, I would love to rent a sailboat in the med and do all the little islands. Southeast Asia, China, Brazil, Spain, Chile, Nepal.....and soooo very many more places that I would love to see.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kendall, glad i'm not alone:)
my wanderlust usually involves ANYWHERE with peace and quiet! i'm not picky about the location. beautiful pic.
ReplyDeleterebecca, I use to have any place that wasn't third world, or a place i'd been before, but now i'm just not that picky, i'll go anywhere. have you been to Dominica? it is a nature lovers heaven if you like it quiet and beautiful.
