It has been almost 6 years since I lived in NYC and almost 3 since I've visited NYC. I just booked a trip to visit my family later in the summer in NJ and also plan on spending a few days walking the streets of New York. I had to look through my old photographs from back in the day when I was living there and thought I would share these.

PS Here are some photos of my family in NJ.

It seems that I have hot springs on my mind cause a friend mentioned this morning how nice it would be to vacation in Italy and this is what I found: my dream vacation in Italy would be in Saturnia, located south of Tuscany, for their amazing hot springs. Since I'm daydreaming why not stay in this extremely fancy resort called Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort? What do you think - magical?!!

PS Did you see this post about California's hot mineral springs?

Everyday that I pull into my driveway on St Thomas and I see amazing turquoise water, like in the photos above, and I wonder to myself, 'when will this view not take my breath away' and 'when will I no longer be surprised that the water is so vibrant?' Really, it's been over 5 years that I've lived here and I still say this to myself each day. So there's not a surprise that I want to go and experience this gorgeous water in Bora Bora. What do you say, should we pick up everything and spend a couple months trapped on these amazing islands?

Yesterday while I was having island fever I found out that you can now leave St Thomas for less. This is really exciting news that makes island hopping more affordable.... Jet Blue is now offering round trips to San Juan for $78 (well, $90 with tax.) It use to be at least $200 to fly off of St Thomas anywhere. So, I booked my first weekend getaway to Old San Juan!!!! I'm so excited; Thank You Jet Blue!!!

It’s true that I’ve traveled all around the world and have never been to the West Coast of my own country. Eric and I are thinking about taking a trip to California this fall and seeing the other ocean. We’ve been looking for some fun activities and came across a rafting company called Oars. We are really excited about a three day trip they offer called Tuolumne Wine on the River, it has a little something for the both of us. The trip combines white water rafting down the river with gourmet meals and premium wines from the West’s finest vintners. How much fun is that?!

Above are photos of when we went white water rafting with my brothers in Maine with North Country Rivers in 2009.
