So, how was your weekend? I'm having that super Monday feeling, most likely cause I worked through the weekend. I've found that booking a trip helps me feel better about working, so I just booked a flight to visit my family later this summer, really! You should try it, the next time you feel over worked you should just book a trip to remind yourself why you're working so hard.
I also find looking at photos posted on Facebook by my friends really inspiring, like all the photos in this post. I'm not sure if it's ok to take my friends photos and repost them: what do you think? If you would like me to remove you're photo just let me know, I just found these photos so lovely and wishing I could spend the afternoon in them.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

What do you have planned for the weekend? I hope you find the time on Saturday evening to see the Supermoon. I'm working all weekend photographing weddings and daydreaming about being on St Lucia at this amazing resort called The Jalousie Plantations, Sugar Beach - aren't their photographs just breathtaking. I feel relaxed just looking at the photographs of the resort and can hardly imagine what it would be like to spend the weekend here.
Hope you have an amazing weekend!!!

This Saturday's full moon will be a 'super moon'; meaning that the moon will be the closest to the Earth all year. National Geographic says, "The moon's proximity won't have any major effects on our planet..." apparently they've never been on St Thomas during a 'normal' full moon - I'm a little curious how this Saturday evening will be:)
Diana on Express-O say's this extraordinary event will occur at exactly 11:35 pm ET. I hope we'll all be watching it together.

It seems that I have hot springs on my mind cause a friend mentioned this morning how nice it would be to vacation in Italy and this is what I found: my dream vacation in Italy would be in Saturnia, located south of Tuscany, for their amazing hot springs. Since I'm daydreaming why not stay in this extremely fancy resort called Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort? What do you think - magical?!!

PS Did you see this post about California's hot mineral springs?

I've started to do some research for our California road trip this fall and my friend suggested that I look at  Vichy Springs (wow does she know what I like.) Vichy Springs is a historic hot springs resort located two hours north of San Francisco. The Vichy Baths water is around 90 degrees fahrenheit naturally and the carbonated minerals in the water are said to not only be calming, amazing for your skin, but also has many benefits when digested that aids gout, rheumatism, along with other acid related illnesses.
How amazing would it be to spend the afternoon soaking in these springs and then wander around the property with a glass of wine from a local vineyard admiring this breathtaking California landscape?

PS Hot spring Spa in Dominica that I love.

There is always music playing in my home and I'm always in need of new tunes. So, I'm really excited that Norah Jones has released her new album called 'Little Broken Hearts.' Have you heard it yet? NPR has her entire album here. Let me know what you think.

I've recently been obsessed with eating hummus - I just can't get enough of it. I think it has to do with the weather turning into summer on St Thomas, hummus is so cool and refreshing. So, last week I made this hummus recipe and took it to the beach:

2 cans of garbanzo beans drained
1/3 cup tahini
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp salt
4 cloves garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 hot pepper
sprig of fresh parsley
sprig of fresh chives

Blend all ingredients together until smooth (you might have to add more water for the blender) and chill before serving.

Happy cooking!!!
