It is the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 at Ground Zero today. I wish I were in back in the city to honor 9/11. A friend on facebook posted this in her status: Times of impact: 8:46 a.m. and 9:02 a.m. Time the burning towers stood: 56 minutes and 102 minutes. Time they took to fall: 12 seconds. 2819 dead from 115 different nations. 343 Fireman/paramedics, 23 NYPD, 37 Port Authority officers.

Everyone will always remember exactly what they where doing the day of 9/11. I was living in Chicago; walking sleepily down a street to buy a cup of coffee and get some air to clear my head when I heard the news on a street workers radio. I rushed back to wake my roommate sleeping in our condo and we sat in front of the TV with our mouths open. We spent the rest of the day feeling numb, drawing, really the only thing I remember doing was walking to the lakeside in need of air (the day of 9/11 is a blur.) I hope one of these days to reconnect with the person I spent this day with.
